I'm ELLA (叶子红)
a HARD liver,
a HARD lover,
and a HARD worker.

I’m also an eclectic graphic designer, banana bread lover, and a fourth year Global Business and Digital Arts student at the University of Waterloo (keep scrolling to find out what the program's about).

I love a good challenge to work at, and I love trying everything; even if I’m not good at it. After all, how else will you get better?
At my core, I’m a sharer that thrives off of community. No matter where my work takes me, I find meaning in collaboration and creating with/for people who believe in the same causes I do.
> Open to collaborations and internship opportunities in creative direction and visual design!
WANTING MORE?
My approach to design is dynamic, holistic, and adaptable. I create to spark conversation, challenge perspectives, and push creative boundaries. Rules are meant to be broken, and standards are meant to be redefined. No matter the project, I try my best to bring my full skillset and vision to craft experiences that resonate. This mindset comes from my roots in dance, where I’ve grown not just as an artist but as an individual—through the culture of learning, exchanging, and elevating each other.
Global Business and Digital Arts (GBDA) is Canada’s first interdisciplinary undergraduate program at the University of Waterloo that bridges business, technology, and design. GBDA fosters collaboration, adaptability and problem-solving with a strong emphasis on team-based partnerships and experiential learning. The program allows students enter the workforce with a versatile skill set, a robust portfolio, and the ability to drive impactful digital solutions.
As a GBDA student, I’ve developed hands-on expertise in design, storytelling, project management, and emerging technologies. GBDA has shaped my ability to adapt, collaborate, and problem-solve in team-driven environments, equipping me with the skills to tackle complex design challenges across industries.
Looking forward to sharing with you :)
