So you want to know more about ME?
ELLA Ye (叶子红)
noun [el- uh]
1. I do three things— I design (in all shapes and forms); I document (my life, my experiences, and more); and lastly, I try everything, even if I'm not good at it.
2. I'm a Waterloo-based multi-disciplinary designer and third year Global Business and Digital Arts student at the University of Waterloo.
As a Global Business and Digital Arts (GBDA) student, I’ve developed hands-on expertise in design, storytelling, project management, and emerging technologies. GBDA has shaped my ability to adapt, collaborate, and problem-solve in team-driven environments, equipping me with the skills to tackle complex design challenges across industries.
My approach to design is dynamic, holistic, and adaptable. I create to spark conversation, challenge perspectives, and push creative boundaries. Rules are meant to be broken, and standards are meant to be redefined. No matter the project, I try my best to bring my full skillset and vision to craft experiences that resonate.
This mindset comes from my roots in dance, where I’ve grown not just as an artist but as an individual—through the culture of learning, exchanging, and elevating each other.
At My core, I’m a sharer. No matter where my work takes me, I find meaning in community, collaboration, and giving back to those who see value in what I do.
What is Global Business and Digital Arts (GBDA)?
